The
Playroom
At approximately
two years of age your child will move into the ‘Playroom’.
Children have plenty of opportunities for more active play
alongside quieter times for calmer activities. Playing with
other children is an important new area for learning; activities
encourage children to co-operate with one another. They enjoy
spending time in the home corner, putting the dollies to bed
and dressing up!
Children thoroughly enjoy story time and taking
part in action songs, rhymes and using simple musical instruments!
A varied range of constructional toys encourage the children
to problem solve and plan. Children are encouraged to develop
their fine motor skills using a variety of materials to ‘make
marks’. Routines within the playroom reflect your child’s
growing need for independence, alongside the close warm relationship
with staff members |
