As Childcare professionals we feel privileged to be a part of children’s young lives and look forward to sharing your child’s journey with you. We appreciate that parents know their child best and we work closely alongside you, supporting your child’s progression in all areas of learning and celebrating their achievements!

We understand that starting nursery is a big milestone and the prospect of entering the next stage can be exciting but also an apprehensive time for both children & parents. At Daintry Hall a ‘Key Person’ is assigned for your child and is responsible for helping to settle your child into nursery and is available to discuss your child’s routine, individual needs, dislikes and any concerns you may have. Building a relationship with you and your child helps to ensure that we have a greater insight of your child’s individual needs and enables us to tailor the curriculum accordingly.

At the end of a session your Key Person will share your child’s day with you both within a written format and verbally. Parents’ notice boards and white boards share information with regards to your child’s routine and a regular newsletter keeps you up to date with nursery life!

We know that parents lead busy lives. But there are many different ways parents are encouraged to get involved in nursery life! Parents with a particular talent or interest are welcome to share their skills with the children, for example playing a musical instrument, woodwork or cookery! Parents are encouraged to contribute to themes and extend their child’s learning to home alongside the regular ‘home link’, which may suggest bringing into nursery a photograph, an item of a particular colour or an object for an interest table. Children are excited to share items from home with their friends, which open new avenues for learning.

We warmly welcome feedback from parents, whether it is through talking to a member of the team or simply by telephoning. We appreciate feedback, both positive and negative, as it helps us to evaluate our practice and ensures that the nursery care we offer is of the highest standard.
